Of course it’s that horrible time of year again when Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Baily Circus brings their animal cruelty show into Charlotte. PETA traveled to Charlotte today to help spread the word to children and parents at First Ward Elementary about Ringling’s abuse of Elephants, Lions, Tigers, Monkey’s, Dogs, Horses, and many other animals. Vegan Pizza lover’s Rejoice! After a 3 year absence in Charlotte, Mellow Mushroom has returned with a BRAND NEW location at 2820 Selwyn Avenue near Colony.
If you’ve never had Mellow Mushroom, expect a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere. The food is fantastic, and many Atlantians and Athens, GS residents SWEAR by Mellow Pizza. They are very accomodating to Vegans, offering Daiya Vegan Cheese, TONS of Fresh Veggie Toppings, Tofu, and Tempeh! There are a few subs, including a Tempeh Sub, that are great as well!
